Where did y'all spend your New Moon eve? I popped into Columbus Circle in NYC but headed down to Union Square where we got to meet PFach selling Nurse Jackie dvds... kidding ;)
Okay, when I saw this I was completely blown away by the magnitude of this scene. All my doubts about David Slade are now gown. I feel like he might have even made this scene more powerfully emotional than the actual scene from the book. *wispers: 'I like the whispering aspect too'. Lol
Anyway, sadly I didn't go to any of the NM midnight release parties. I went to Target to buy mine and they open around 8. But I still stood in line nonetheless. (:
I agree with Alycya- I think that both rob and kristen sounded really mumbley in New Moon, and are exactly the same from what i've seen so far of Eclipse. I stuggle to understand what they are saying alot of the time. I do think that David Slade has done a good job of directing though.
The mumbles hopefully will be cleared up by the time the film debuts in June. I have yet to purchase New Moon ... haven't decided yet which copy I want! :)
Can someone tell me ... in New Moon ... wasn't there a part at the end, where a tear runs down Jacob's face while he's a wolf ... when Bella "chooses" Edward?? It's not on the dvd!! But I could have sworn I saw that in the theater!! Anyone????
Ok, so maybe I'm biased, but I think this is the best scene from any of the movies. I think it's the best adaptation of their love story yet on screen. It made me hold my breath. I actually felt the torment. I hope the entire movie is this good. Sigh. I got the Wal-Mart copy. What is the difference?
I agree with the disappointment - and apparently we are stuck again with the soap opera music. Are these two ever destined to have a happy moment on screen? I seem to recall some happiness they experienced together in the books. I am tired of the bad acting from these two. I probably will not even buy New Moon because I felt it missed the mark so much for me.
@ Katrina, theater version had the tear...but I haven't had a chance to watch New Moon DVD yet, so I'm not sure about that. I will be watching soon and I'll look for it ;)
I love the scene ^.^ I love how they are serious and whispering. They're in Bella's room at night, discussing the important issues. So they're not going to be jumping on the bed yelling LoL XD I'm pretty sure there will be some happy scenes, should be at least lol.

ReplyDeleteI'm really disappointed with what I'm seeing of Eclipse.
ReplyDeleteWhile watching the clip I was actually really bored.
The dialogue is fine but the performances are unengaging...
... what happened? Rob and KStew are good actors!
Someone previously said their voices have gone monotone...
... and their right. There is no emotion in what they say even in the trailer!
P.s That spoof of the Eclipse trailer (David S. linked on his Twitter) looked much more interesting!
my heart stops beating when i see these two together.!

I spent my New Moon eve at home... In Holland... :P
ReplyDeleteNo party's here :'(
The scene is amazing though!!! (L)

ReplyDeleteI will not watch, I will not read comments. Trying to keep my Eclipse virginity and it is getting more difficult day by day.
